Creative Writing

• Angela’s full-length play The Boathouse produced by JUTE Theatre company  (Cairns Centre for Contemporary Arts) and Darwin Theatre Company (Darwin Entertainment Centre) – Mar-April 2006
• Radio play The Belly Dancer, accepted for further development by Playworks (Sydney) and submitted to ABC Radio National – Dec 2006
• Short- film script Snakes in the Cane, accepted for further development by the Pacific Film & Television Commission – Jan 2007
• Conducted  workshops in Cairns, the Atherton Tablelands and Townsville and was a panelist and presenter at their writers’ festivals in 2005 & 2006
• Conducted writing workshops for Queensland Writers Centre – 2008
• Free-lance writer for Cairns Barfly, Cairns Fly, The Cairns Post, The Brisbane Sunday Mail, City Life, Style and Arts Nexus Magazines 2002-2008
• Awarded High Distinction, Master of Letters (Creative Writing), CQU 2005
• Awarded First Prize, Queensland Rural Women’s Short Story competition,  2002 and 2003
• Short-listed, ABC Radio Regional Production Fund, Short Story competition 2005

Educational and Academic Writing

• Freelance editor and profile writer for James Cook University’s Marketing and Publications Unit – 2007-2008
• Scripted and directed the tri-nation keynote address for the Australian Computers in Education Conference (ACCE),  Cairns Convention Centre, Oct 2006
• Recorded and collated the ACCE’s Leadership  Forum day (over 100 participants) and assisted in writing the subsequent academic discussion paper, Oct-Dec 2006
• Prepared on-line and print-based materials, conducted conference and phone interviews, collated information and delivered reports for Education Queensland and Queensland Society of Information Technology in Education
• Mentor and writer for the National Institute for Quality Teaching and School Leadership, Excellence by a Teacher Awards - Queensland nominees, 2005 & 2007
• Commissioned by the Tropical Museum of North Queensland and the Ravenswood Restoration and Preservation Society – 2003
• Researched and wrote ANTA Training Package material for Certificate and Diploma courses,  Tropical North Queensland Institute of TAFE - 2000-2002
